The Victron MultiPlus-II 12/3000/120-50 2x120V is designed for North American 50-amp 120/240V split-phase RV and mobile electrical systems. It combines inverter and battery-charging functions in one integrated system and intelligently manages power from your batteries, shore power, or a generator.
When shore power or generator power is available, the MultiPlus-II can pass AC power through to your electrical system while charging your battery bank. When external AC power is unavailable, it automatically switches to inverter operation and supplies 120V AC power from your 12V battery system.
Why It's Different From a Basic Inverter
A standard inverter primarily converts battery DC power into household AC power. The MultiPlus-II goes considerably further by integrating inverter, battery-charging, AC transfer, and power-management capabilities into one system.
That makes it especially well suited to more advanced RV and mobile installations where multiple sources of power need to work together.
Designed for North American 50-Amp RV Systems
When connected to a 120/240V split-phase source, the MultiPlus-II can accept and pass through both incoming AC lines.
When connected to a single-phase 120V source, it can supply 120V to both sides of the distribution panel.
During battery-powered inverter operation, both output lines receive 120V AC. However, 240V AC is only available when the system is connected to an external 120/240V split-phase source. This helps prevent large 240V loads from unintentionally drawing down the battery bank.
